Purpose

The Lane Events Center (LEC) Visioning Workgroup is an advisory body convened to collaborate with the project team to develop a shared vision for the future of the Events Center and advise on potential design concepts that reflect community priorities, preferences, and needs.

The LEC Visioning Workgroup is a key piece of the next phase of the Master Planning process for the LEC.

Objectives

The Visioning Workgroup will:

  • Understand and identify community needs, priorities, and values through review and analysis of public input.
  • Contribute to the development of a shared vision for the Lane Events Center’s future.
  • Provide feedback on proposed design concepts that reflect the community needs, priorities and values.
  • Evaluate and identify design concept(s) that aligns with the community’s aspirations and the Center’s long-term goals.

Guiding Principles

The Workgroup will operate under the following principles:

  1. Inclusivity: Ensure diverse voices and perspectives are represented and respected.
  2. Transparency: Maintain open communication and provide clear, timely information.
  3. Collaboration: Work together constructively to achieve shared goals.
  4. Community-Centered: Prioritize the values, needs, and aspirations of the broader community.
